Web Series are surely the in thing nowadays and so many actors, irrespective of their stardom, are being seen in them. Marathi superstar Priya Bapat has also bagged a web series called City Of Dreams.

Sharing her experience of being part of the series, she says, "Web series are now more interesting because you get to experiment a lot with the content. You don't need to stick to one particular thing, unlike TV shows which are dealing with almost the same genre.

She adds, "In the digital medium, there are lots of varieties in content, through which an actor can explore their talent.

When asked the thought process behind singing City of Dreams, she says, "Well, the first reason why I decided to work in this web series is obviously that Nagesh Kukunoor was going to direct it. Secondly, the most important reason was I have never been part of a story which was politics-based and one which has realistic characters. There isn't any fake heroism in the film. All the characters in the web series are very real and true. There's nothing in black and white. So, that was another reason why I fell in love with the character that was offered to me. I have never played such a role before.

Priya has been part of Marathi films such Like Kaksparsh, Aamhi Doghi, Time Pass 2, Me Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy, Vazander and Hindi films such as Munna Bhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munna Bhai.

Directed by Nagesh Kuknoor, the series is a political drama which has four stories interlinked to each other. Produced by Applause Entertainment, the series will be hosted on Hot Star.
